Abstract:
One embodiment of the present invention comprises: a cage speed detection device that measures cage speed; an emergency braking device that applies emergency braking for the cage by pressing against a guide rail if the cage speed exceeds a threshold value; an electric actuation unit that electrically actuates the emergency braking device; a battery that supplies power when the commercial power source is interrupted; and a safety control unit that monitors elevator abnormalities and controls operation of the electric actuation unit. The safety control unit measures remaining battery capacity when power is being supplied from the battery, determines whether operation of the emergency braking device during commercial power source restoration is possible on the basis of changes in the remaining battery capacity, and controls operation of the electric actuation unit during commercial power source restoration on the basis of the determination.
