Abstract:
The invention comprises: a hoist that rotates a sheave on which a cable connecting an elevator car and a counterweight is wound; a drive control unit; an emergency stop device; a torque current acquisition unit that acquires the drive torque from the current flowing through the hoist; and an inspection determination unit that uses the drive torque to determine whether the emergency stop device is operating normally. The inspection determination unit determines whether the emergency stop device is operating normally from the results of monitoring the drive torque during a test operation for starting to drive the hoist in the direction to lower the elevator car.
