Abstract:
In an elevator device, travel of an elevator car is braked by first and second brake
devices. Operation of the first and second brake devices is controlled by a brake
control device. When a quick stop command for the car is issued, the brake control
device first causes the first brake device to perform braking operation, and
when the retardation is equal to or less than a predetermined level after the elapse
of a predetermined time, the brake control device causes the second brake device
to perform braking operation.
