Abstract:
In an elevator device, a brake device stops travel of an elevator car. A portion
of the magnitude of the total braking force of the brake device is adjustable in
emergency braking of the car. For example, the brake device has a no-adjustment
brake section that, in emergency braking of the car, instantly produces braking
force without adjustment and an adjustable brake section that, in emergency
braking of the car, produces braking force while adjusting it.
