Abstract:
An elevator device where a second elevator car is placed under a first elevator
car. The second car is suspended in a hoistway by second and third suspension bodies
and lifted and lowered by a second hoist. The second suspension body has a second
car- end section connected to the first side-face side of the second car. The third
suspension body has a third car-end section connected to the second side-face
side of the second car. An encircling angle adjustment wheel for increasing the
angle of encirclement of the second suspension body over a second drive sheave
is placed at the upper part of the hoistway.
