Abstract:
An elevator device wherein a cage and a counterweight are suspended by first and second suspension bodies and raised and lowered by first and second hoisting machines. A second pulley in the second hoisting machine is arranged so as to overlap at least part of a first pulley in the first hoisting machine, as viewed from above. A diverter pulley is arranged between the first and second pulleys. The diameter of the diverter pulley is greater than the diameter of the first pulley and the diameter of the second pulley. A cage-side section of the second suspension body and a counterweight-side section of the second suspension body are in contact with the outer peripheral surface of the diverter pulley and, as a result, the space between the cage-side section and the counterweight-side section is wider.
