Abstract:
An elevator device comprising a low-profile hoist having: a housing (5) disposed within the hoistway; a main shaft (7) supported at one end thereof by the housing; bearings (11, 12) affixed to the outer periphery of one axial end of the main shaft; an annular rope sheave (6) rotatably mounted to the bearings; and a motor for rotating and driving the rope sheave, the elevator device being configured so that the car is moved vertically by means of a main rope wrapped around the rope sheave, wherein: the main shaft is configured as a hollow main shaft; a rotating circular plate-like sealing body (19) is affixed to the opening end side of the rope sheave, which faces the car; an encoder (21) for detecting the rotational speed of the rotating circular plate-like sealing body is disposed within the hollow section of the hollow main shaft; a rotating shaft (20b) connected to the encoder is formed at the center of rotation of the rotating circular plate-like sealing body; and a shaft-like detection section (20a) is formed coaxially with the rotating shaft (20b) on the surface of the side of the rotating circular plate-like sealing body (19), which faces the car.
