Abstract:
The elevator device according to the present invention comprises: a cage (1) that ascends/descends in a hoistway; a counterweight (9) that ascends/descends in the direction opposite to that of the cage; and an air regulator (6) that is mounted on at least one of the ascending direction side and the descending direction side of the cage at a distance therefrom and that has a surface with a groove extending to a space on the side of an ascending/descending space of the counterweight. Thus, when the cage ascends/descends, air that has collided with the surface of the air regulator can be caused to flow to the space on the side of the ascending/descending space of the counterweight, and hence the amount of air flowing toward the space of clearance between the cage and a peripheral object passing the cage, such as the counterweight or an adjacent cage, can be reduced. Consequently, noise generated when the cage passes the peripheral object can be suppressed.
