An elevator disinfection method, an elevator disinfection apparatus, an elevator, a storage medium and a program product. The method specifically comprises: acquiring a continuous operating time of an elevator; comparing the continuous operating time of the elevator with a preset time, and if the continuous operating time of the elevator is greater than or equal to the preset time, detecting whether there are passengers or articles in the elevator; and if there are no passengers or articles in the elevator, sending a control instruction to the elevator, wherein the control instruction is used for instructing the elevator to stop operating and instructing the elevator to enter a disinfection mode. Thus, an elevator can be regularly disinfected to reduce the probability of bacteria breeding in the elevator, which is beneficial to the health of passengers.
