Abstract:
Provided is an elevator door assembly which can overcome drawbacks concerning the running resistance of a door without increasing the gap between a door sill and a cage. The elevator door assembly (1) includes at least one door panel (3a, 3b) which is slidably provided to open and close an entrance (7) to the cage room; and the door sill (5) disposed below the door panel to extend in the direction in which the door panel slides. On the bottom surface of the door panel, there is formed a guide groove (29) that extends in the direction of sliding. On the top surface of the door sill, at least one guide member (27) is protruded upwardly. The guide member is accommodated in the associated guide groove, so that when the door panel slides, the guide member travels relatively thereto along the associated guide groove.
