Abstract:
An elevator-guide-rail-machining apparatus, wherein a machining device body is moved along a guide rail. The machining device body also has a machining tool and a machining-tool-driving device. The machining tool scrapes off at least part of a braking surface of the guide rail. The machining-tool-driving device causes the machining tool to rotate. An abnormality detection unit determines the presence of an abnormality in the state of machining by the machining tool on the basis of the load status of the machining-tool-driving device.
