Abstract:
The present invention achieves an elevator hoist with which braking applied to a sheave by a braking part can be released manually using a simple procedure, without employing a complex release mechanism. An elevator hoist according to the present invention is provided with: a fitting part which is formed on one surface from among an end surface of a sheave, and one surface of a brake disc facing said end surface; and a fitting-receiving part formed on the other surface. The fitting part and the fitting-receiving part are formed so as to be fitted together as a result of movement of the brake disc in the axial direction approaching the sheave, and so as to be released from each other as a result of movement of the brake disc in the axial direction heading away from the sheave. Rotation of the brake disc around the rotational axis is inhibited while the fitting part and the fitting-receiving part are fitted together. A braking part is supported on a stationary member so as to be capable of moving in the axial direction in conjunction with the movement of the brake disc in the axial direction while in a state of applying braking to the brake disc.
