Abstract:
This elevator installation method lifts a hoist (7) using: both a return pulley (8) for an elevator car and a return pulley (9) for a weight, the return pulleys (8, 9) being mounted in the upper part of a hoistway (1); and a main rope (12). The elevator installation method includes: a rope passing step in which the main rope (12) is passed over each of the pulleys such that the return pulley (9) for a weight, the hoist (7), and the return pulley (8) for an elevator car are positioned in that order along the length of the main rope (12) from the weight end (12b) side to the elevator car end (12a) side of the main rope (12), and then the side of the main rope (12), which is located closer to the weight end (12b) than the hoist (7), is fastened to a support beam (6); and a hoist lifting step performed after the rope passing step such that the hoist (7) is lifted by pulling the side of the main rope (12), which is located closer to the elevator car end (12a) than the return pulley (9) for a weight.
