Abstract:
In an elevator position detecting device, when a first diagnostic switch (122) is closed, a first inductive magnetic field is generated from a diagnostic coil (121) by an AC magnetic field from an exciting coil (11), and, when a second diagnostic switch (123) is closed, a second inductive magnetic field, which is weaker than the first inductive magnetic field, is generated from the diagnostic coil (121) by the AC magnetic field from the exciting coil (11). In a normally L-output fault diagnosis mode in which the first inductive magnetic field is generated, a measurement signal output value is lower than a threshold value regardless of the presence or absence of an object to be detected in a detection region. In a normally H-output fault diagnosis mode in which the generation of both the first and second inductive magnetic fields is stopped, the measurement signal output value is greater than or equal to the threshold value regardless of the presence or absence of the object to be detected in the detection region.
