Abstract:
The present invention yields an elevator rescue device with which it is possible to enhance passenger rescue operability. The elevator rescue device according to the present invention is configured such that, when two elevator cars built next to each other face toward each other, there are provided opposing rescue openings in the peripheral walls thereof, and passengers are caused to move from a broken elevator car to a non-broken elevator car, whereby the passengers are rescued, wherein: when the two elevator cars face toward each other, there is provided a crossing board that spans the space between the opposing rescue openings; and the crossing board is supported by the upper portions of the rescue openings.
