Abstract:
An elevator rope for suspending the car of an elevator apparatus has a core rope and a second strand layer. The core rope has a plurality of first strands twisted together. Each first strand has a plurality of first wires of steel twisted together, and a first strand cladding of resin applied externally. Each second strand has a plurality of second wires of steel twisted together. Further, the second strands are twisted around the outer periphery of the core rope.
