Abstract:
An elevator system having ganged elevator mechanisms (10a, 10b) in each of which elevator cars (13a-14b) are suspended from both ends of a main rope (12a, 12b). In the elevator operation system, operation time characteristics (31a, 31b) are shifted between the ganged elevator mechanisms, where the operation time characteristics are characteristics in which the cars of each ganged elevator mechanism are stopped at different floors (15, 16) for a predetermined time period (Ts1) and then moved to other floors (16, 15) in a predetermined movement time period (TM). Further, the movement start time of an elevator car to the next floor from a floor at which the car is stopped is set to a time earlier by a predetermined time period (TA) than the time of arrival of another car at the floor.
