Abstract:
Provided is an elevator system capable of suppressing false detection of an elevator traveling with open car door. The elevator system comprises: an elevator car position detector that detects the position of an elevator car; an open door detector that detects when the door of the elevator is opened; and an open door travel protection device that monitors the speed of the elevator car on the basis of a set permissible movement range for the car with respect to the floor of a landing for which a different range is set for the case when the car starts travelling up when the door is open at the landing where the car is stopped and for the case when the car starts travelling down when the door is open at the landing where the car is stopped.
