Abstract:
Disclosed is an elevator system, comprising a hoistway; the hoistway is divided into at least two adjacent transport intervals (1; 2; 3; 4) in the horizontal direction; elevator cages capable of carrying out a reciprocating motion in the transport intervals (1; 2; 3; 4) along the vertical direction are provided in the transport intervals (1; 2; 3; 4) and are provided with transfer doors (13) facing and closely attaching to interfaces; the transfer doors (13) distributed at both sides of a same interface can be synchronously opened when facing towards one another. During transfer, two adjacent elevator cages requiring transfer are operated to a transfer location and are distributed at both sides of an interface, and the transfer doors face towards one another; at this time, the transfer doors of two elevator cages are respectively opened so that passengers can transfer. The elevator system can select corresponding transfer locations according to destinations of passengers in adjacent elevator cages. Therefore, the transfer locations fully consider transfer requirements of most passengers so that the passengers can approach destinations more quickly, and moreover, the utilization efficiency of the hoistway is further improved.
