Abstract:
An elevator traction machine. A motor (1) of the elevator traction machine comprises a stator (11) fixed onto a body portion (2) and a rotor (13) fixed onto a rotating portion (3). A sheave protecting plate (7) is fixed onto the body portion (2) and extends to a side surface of a sheave (32) which drives an elevator rope (6). A measuring device (5) comprises a gear (8) and a sensor (9). The gear (8) is attached to the rotating portion (3) and rotates around a rotation axis (31) together with the rotor (13). Multiple teeth (81) are circumferentially provided on the gear (8). Distances between adjacent teeth (81) are approximately equal. The sensor (9) mounted on the sheave protecting plate (7) is next to the teeth (81) on the gear (8), and is configured to sense movement of the teeth (81) on the gear (8) relative to the sensor (9) and output measuring signals which changes periodically. The invention does not use a magnetic induction belt, reduces the manufacturing cost, makes it simple to assemble and use the product, and eliminates risks caused by reduction of magnetism of the magnetic induction belt.
