Abstract:
An elevator comprising an elevator shaft (2) through which the cage (8) of the elevator elevates/lowers, a machine room (4), a machine room floor (6) partitioning the machine room (4) and the elevator shaft (2), a hoist (12) disposed in the machine room (4) and elevating/lowering the cage (8) of the elevator, wherein the machine room floor (6) comprises a supporting section (20) supported at a specified position of the elevator shaft (2), and a machine base (24) supported by the supporting section (20) and installing the hoist (12). The machine base (24) comprises a machine base installing section (32) for installing the hoist, and a machine base supporting section (30) being supported by the supporting section (20). The machine base installing section (32) is formed thicker than the machine base supporting section (30).
