Abstract:
A one-shaft multi-car elevator comprising an elevator shaft (2), a plurality of bodies (12a, 12b) disposed vertically in the elevator shaft to elevate/lower in the elevator shaft, and drive means (20a, 20b) for elevating/lowering the plurality of bodies independently, wherein an inter-body brake means (30) is disposed between one (12a) of the plurality of elevating/lowering bodies and an other elevating/lowering body (12b) disposed directly below that body. The inter-body brake means (30) can independently stop, as required, between one elevating/lowering body (12a) and an other elevating/lowering body (12b).
