Abstract:
Provided is an elevator in which it is easy for users to ride inside an elevator car at a distance from each other. This elevator (1) comprises a first determination unit (19), a second determination unit (20), and a notification processing unit (18). The first determination unit (19) determines a magnitude relationship between a first threshold value and an empty surface area of a floor surface of an elevator car (9) on the basis of an image captured by a camera (15) when the elevator car (9) is stopped at a stop floor. The camera (15) is provided inside the elevator car (9). The second determination unit (20) determines a magnitude relationship between a second threshold value and the number of riders riding in the elevator car (9) when the first determination unit (19) determines that the empty surface area is greater than the first threshold value. The notification processing unit (18) causes a notification device to notify the users that the number of riders is exceeding the limit when the second determination unit (20) determines that the number of riders is greater than the second threshold value. The notification device is provided inside the elevator car (9) or at a landing (3) on the stop floor.
