Abstract:
In an embedded illumination structure in which an illumination device is embedded between a first plate-shaped member and a second plate-shaped member, the illumination device includes: a light source section having a light emitting surface from which light is emitted; and an illumination cover that is arranged so as to face the light emitting surface of the light source section and through which the light emitted from the light source section passes. The illumination cover has a slanted section formed thereon. The slanted section is formed on the surface opposing the light source section and/or the surface on the opposite side therefrom, is located in a section on the side of the first plate-shaped member, and is adjusted such that the light emitted from the light emitting surface of the light source section is refracted by the slanted section on the illumination cover and the irradiation direction of the light is directed toward the second plate-shaped member.
