Abstract:

Provided are an embedded storage and an embedded storage system. The embedded storage comprises a flash memory control unit, a host interface unit, and at least one off-chip flash memory interface unit. The embedded storage system comprises the embedded storage and at least one expanded memory, the extended memory exchanging data with the flash memory control unit through the off-chip flash memory interface unit. The embedded storage and the embedded storage system can solve the problem of poor expansibility of the storage capacity due to that the embedded storage has no off-chip flash memory interface unit connected to an off-chip flash memory, and the storage cost can be reduced by combining different NAND flash memories.
