Abstract:
An embroidery machine (1), comprising a crochet hook (2) and a needle bar (16),
an engagement part (21) capable of fixing the needle bar (16) in two directions
different by 180° from each other, a looper (4) guiding a thread to the hook
part (2a) of the crochet hook (2), a feed mechanism (5) moving a sewn article (A)
in a prescribed feed direction (P), an orientation adjusting mechanism (6) capable
of setting the feeding direction (P) of the feed mechanism, the orientation of
the crochet hook (2), and the orientation of the looper (4) in synchronism with
each other by reciprocatingly moving in the axial direction to rotate a spindle
(15) transmitting a reciprocating motion (Q) to the looper (4) without allowing
the spindle to be interlocked with the reciprocating motion (Q), and a looper
orientation changeover part (7) capable of rotating the orientation of the looper
(4) by 180° independently of the orientation adjusting mechanism (6).
