Abstract:
An embroidery robot comprising a bobbin receiving section (22) capable of receiving a plurality of bobbins (21) disposed on the top of a sewing machine head (1), a thread adjusting mechanism (24) provided with thread tension adjustment mechanisms (25) and thread delivery mechanisms (28), whose number corresponds to the number of bobbins (21) receivable in the bobbin receiving section (22), and a thread selection mechanism (29) for selectively positioning the thread delivery mechanism (28) corresponding to a required bobbin (21) above a thread passing device (5) for passing a thread through a predetermined needle (10), wherein a thread delivery tube (28a) is disposed in the thread delivery mechanism (28) so as to lead the thread (10) to the thread passing device (5), and disposed at the lower end of the thread delivery tube (28a) is a thread sweeping and holding mechanism (28b) adapted to transversely sweep and temporarily hold a thread (11) drooping from the thread delivery tube (28a), so as to hold it by the thread holding member (31) of the thread passing device (5).
