Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2011/031049
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an emergency display device for a vehicle which gives an alert to the rear when the vehicle is stationary during an emergency, comprising: a laser output unit comprising a light-emitting unit for shining laser light in a display having a specific form on the ground, and a drive unit for rotating the light-emitting unit so as to determine the display position of the light-emitting unit; a transmitting unit for propagating a sensing signal; a receiving unit for receiving the reflected waves of the sensing signal propagated from the transmitting unit; a computing unit for computing the distance of objects to the rear by detecting and measuring the sensing signal propagation and the reflected wave reception; and a control unit for controlling the laser output unit, transmitting unit, receiving unit and computing unit: wherein the control unit alters the display position of the light-emitting unit by driving the drive unit in accordance with the values computed by the computing unit. In the present invention which is constituted in this way, the emergency display position is moved with the approach of vehicles to the rear, which gives the advantage that drivers of vehicles to the rear are continuously made aware of the emergency display and the risk of accidents is reduced.
