Abstract:
Provided is an emergency evacuation cart capable of reducing the operator's load while maintaining safety. The dead man's brake mechanism is configured from a rotatable brake lever, a brake shoe capable of controlling the front track roller of a crawler device, an inner wire connecting the brake lever to the brake shoe, and an outer tube in which the inner wire is inserted. The brake shoe is energized at all times by a spring to brake the track roller and said braking is released by the inner wire when pulled by the rotation of the brake lever. When the brake lever is rotated backward to the fullest extent, the lever rotation axis of the brake lever, the wire rotation axis that is provided on the brake lever and connects to the inner wire, and the back end of the outer tube line up substantially in a straight line in side view and reduce the brake lever operating force necessary for releasing the braking of the front track roller.
