Abstract:
Provided is an emergency stop device for an elevator car, which is provided with: a link (5) that is rotated by the movement of a speed regulator rope about a rotary shaft disposed on the car; a rail stopper (4) disposed at one end of the link (5); a roller guide (3) mounted on the car; and an elastic body (2) provided between the other end of the link (5) and the car, wherein the elastic body (2) is characterized by: having a spring reaction force of such a magnitude that prevents the rail stopper (4) from coming into contact with the roller guide (3) when the elastic body gets displaced by the link (5) as a result of the movement of the speed regulator rope (6) during braking of a hoist; and decreasing the spring reaction force so as to bring the rail stopper (4) into contact with the roller guide (3) when the amount of displacement exceeds a preset threshold as a result of the elastic body being further displaced by the link (5) in conjunction with the movement of the speed regulator rope (6) in the event of rope breakage.
