Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of developing a novel methodology that provides superior analysis of enantiomers. This problem is solved by means of an enantiomer analysis method comprising (1) to (3) as follows. (1) A mixture of a first compound and second compound forming a pair of enantiomers is reacted with an axially chiral compound that is one of a pair of axially chiral isomers to generate a derivative mixture that includes a first derivative obtained from the reaction of the first compound with the axially chiral compound and a second derivative obtained from the reaction of the second compound with the axially chiral compound; (2) the first derivative and the second derivative are separated in the derivative mixture; and (3) the separated first derivative and second derivative are detected by mass spectrometry.
