Abstract:
A dumbbell for gymnastics consists of a hollow cylindrical body (1) with contiguous cavities defined by end covers (2) and intermediate radial walls (3), between which is concentrically attached a cylindrical handle (4) that can be accessed through a window (8) in the wall of the body (1). The handle is a tube (4) containing at least two bearings (5) on which is mounted a shaft (6), the ends of which extend through the walls (3) and hold flywheels (7) with eccentric weights located in the end cavities of the body (1). One end cavity contains a motor unit (9) coupled to the flywheel (7) and the other end cavity contains a counterweight (10), and the corresponding flywheel comprises a propeller (11) and a cover (2). Holes (12) are provided in the wall (3) for the passage of air pumped by the propeller (11).
