Title:
ENCAPSULATED SOLAR MODULE AND METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/119600
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The invention relates to an encapsulated solar module for small electronic devices, which comprises a plurality of solar cells which are arranged on a bearing body and which are interconnected by means of solar cell contacts, contact strips and conductor strips. Said encapsulation element consists of a cold laminate layer (13) formed on the upper side of the solar module and a scratch-resistant cover plate (12) which is glued to said cold laminate layer, and a cold laminate filling (13") joined to the cold laminate layer and sucked into the area between the solar cells (2) and the bearing body (5) due to a low pressure generated on the bores (11) in the bearing body. The thus formed encapsulation element perfectly protects the solar module from mechanical influences such as liquid, gas or vapour mediums and UV radiation. Also, the upper side of the encapsulated solar module is completely even and has straight outer edges and can be printed and/or dyed. The production of the thus formed solar modules is simple and economical.
