Abstract:
Provided are an encoding apparatus and system. The encoding apparatus comprises: a first cache, used for caching quantisation coefficients of image blocks inputted by a quantisation circuit; an information generating circuit, used for sequentially detecting the quantisation coefficients of the image blocks in order to acquire run-length encoding information; a second cache, used for caching the run-length encoding information generated by the information generating circuit; a processing circuit, used for reading the run-length encoding information from the second cache when there is run-length encoding information stored in the second cache and reading the quantisation coefficients corresponding to the run-length encoding information from the first cache, and outputting the run-length encoding information and the corresponding quantisation coefficients to an entropy encoding circuit. In the aforementioned technical solution, after confirming the run-length encoding information of a plurality of quantisation coefficients, the process of extracting the run-length encoding information and the process of entropy encoding the quantisation coefficients can be executed in parallel, increasing the parallelism of the encoding apparatus.
