Abstract:
This encoding device is provided with: a plurality of external encoding circuits which generate an external code for error correction by using first information that has been input, and output a first codeword obtained by adding the external code to the first information; a plurality of internal encoding circuits which generate an internal code for error correction by using second information that has been input, and output a second codeword obtained by adding the internal code to the second information; a replacement circuit which is arranged in front of one of either the plurality of external encoding circuits or the plurality of internal encoding circuits, divides an information sequence to be encoded or a first codeword group including a plurality of first codewords, and outputs, to the one of either the plurality of external encoding circuits or the plurality of internal encoding circuits, information obtained by dividing the information sequence or the first codeword group as the first information or the second information; and a reverse replacement circuit which is arranged behind the one of either the plurality of external encoding circuits or the plurality of internal encoding circuits, and restores information of the information sequence, which constitutes the first codeword group or a second codeword group including a plurality of second codewords, to be in the positional relationship of the information sequence.
