Abstract:
This encoding device performs encoding on a per-block-to-be-encoded basis and comprises: a prediction unit that generates, on a per-component basis, a prediction block which corresponds to the block to be encoded; a residual generation unit that generates, on a per–component basis, a prediction residual which indicates the difference between the block to be encoded and the prediction block; a color space conversion unit that subjects the prediction residual for each component to a color space conversion process; a conversion unit that subjects the prediction residual to a conversion process so as to generate a conversion coefficient; a quantization control unit that determines a scaling list for use in a quantization process of the conversion coefficient; and a quantization unit that uses the determined scaling list to subject the conversion coefficient to the quantization process, wherein the quantization control unit determines the scaling list on the basis of the color space conversion process.
