Abstract:
This encoding device comprises: an acquisition unit that acquires point group data indicating the three-dimensional position of a subject in a spherical coordinate system; an angle data encoding unit for performing frequency conversion of scan angle data that is time-series data of the scan angles of points included in the point group data and for quantizing and encoding a coefficient; and a distance data encoding unit for predicting the distance, for each of the points, from the position of a measurement source to an encoding target point on the basis of the distance to a neighboring point from the position of the measurement source in a distance map in which the scan angle is defined as an axis, and for encoding distance data indicating the predicted distance.
