Abstract:
Disclosed are an encoding method and apparatus, and a decoding method and apparatus, belonging to the technical field of data processing. The method comprises: when the current block initiates an intra sub-block sub-partition mode, determining, from sub-block sub-partition manners supported by the current block, a target sub-block sub-partition manner, and sub-partitioning, according to the target sub-block sub-partition manner, the current block into multiple sub-blocks; determining, from prediction modes in a candidate prediction mode list of the current block, a target prediction mode of the current block; performing, according to the target prediction mode, intra sub-block prediction to obtain predication pixel information of the multiple sub-blocks, and determining, according to original pixel information of the current block and the prediction pixel information of the multiple sub-blocks, residual error information of the current block; transforming the residual error information according to a transformation manner supported by the multiple sub-blocks; and encoding, according to the transformed information, the current block to generate an encoded stream of the current block. The present application can avoid the problem of the relatively high cost of hardware processing sub-blocks obtained after sub-partitioning in a certain sub-partition manner.
