Abstract:
An encoding method (100), a decoding method, an encoding apparatus, and a decoding apparatus. The encoding method (100) comprises: encoding pictures to be encoded, and generating a code stream, the pictures comprising non-output pictures and output pictures, wherein the difference between picture order counts of any two adjacent output pictures in the display order is greater than 1, a ratio of the difference between picture order counts of any two of the output images to a time interval of capturing the two output images is constant, and a picture order count of at least one of the non-output pictures is between picture order counts of two adjacent output pictures in the display order (S100); and sending the code stream (S120). The encoding method (100) enables insertion of a non-output picture into output pictures without affecting temporal correlation between POCs of the output pictures, thereby preventing issues of incorrect motion vector estimation, invalid scaling, and the like during encoding.
