Abstract:
The present application discloses an encoding method, a decoding method, and an optical module, and belongs to the technical field of data transmission. The method comprises: an optical module acquiring an optical transmission mode used for transmitting a signal; the optical module receiving a signal encoded with an outer code; the optical module determining, on the basis of the optical transmission mode, an inner code encoding means by which the optical module performs inner code encoding on the signal encoded with the outer code; the optical module using the inner code encoding means to perform inner code encoding of the signal encoded with the outer code; and the optical module outputting a signal encoded with the inner code. The present application can improve Ethernet error correction performance.
