Abstract:
The present application provides an encoding method, comprising: according to an encoding parameter of a data packet to be transmitted, determining an encoding mode for the data packet to be transmitted, the encoding parameter comprising at least one of the following information: the size of the data packet to be transmitted, a code rate to be used when performing channel encoding on the data packet to be transmitted, and a code length to be used when performing channel encoding on the data packet to be transmitted, and the encoding mode being a Polar code-based encoding mode or a low density parity check (LDPC) code-based encoding mode; according to the determined encoding mode for the data packet to be transmitted, performing channel encoding on the data packet to be transmitted; and sending the data packet having experienced channel encoding. According to an encoding parameter of a data packet to be transmitted, an encoding mode for the data packet to be transmitted is determined, so that the finally determined encoding mode can meet the requirements of different application scenarios for reliability, throughput, and decoding delay.
