Abstract:
Disclosed in embodiments of the present application are an encoding method and a related device. The encoding method comprises: receiving a code block to be encoded having the length of L, wherein the L is a positive integer; and encoding the code block to be encoded to obtain a forward error correction (FEC) code, wherein the effective message length K of the FEC code is an integer multiple of a maximum prime factor of the L, and the total length N of the FEC code is the sum of twice the error correcting capability T of the FEC code and the K. By means of the embodiments of the present application, it can be ensured that the FEC code satisfies the requirements of low delay and high gain.
