Abstract:
Provided are an encryption key delivery system, etc., with which it is possible to reduce the data volume needed for key updates. An encryption key delivery system (1) having a key delivery ECU (100) for transmitting an encryption key and a key reception ECU (200) for receiving an encryption key, wherein the key delivery ECU transmits an encryption key to the key reception ECU (in 133). The key delivery ECU also determines completion of encryption key transmission to the key reception ECU on the basis of the result of determination as to whether verification data transmitted from the key reception ECU and encryption key verification data calculated from a common key held in a local device and an identifier of the key reception ECU match each other (in 134). The key reception ECU records the received encryption key in the local device, calculates verification data for the received encryption key from the common key held in the local device and an identifier of the local device, and transmits the calculated data to the key delivery ECU (in 231).
