Abstract:
The present invention relates to an end bearing for a one-way clutch well suited for use in an automatic transmission. An end bearing according to the present invention comprises a main body portion comprising in turn a steel plate, a hard coating portion applied to the surface of the main body portion and a soft coating portion applied to the surface of the hard coating portion. Since its main body portion comprises the steel plate, the end bearing of the present invention can maintain sufficient rigidity. In addition, since a portion constituting a sliding surface is covered with the soft and hard coating portions, it is possible to provide an end bearing which is superior in anti-seizing properties and durability.
