Abstract:
An end play measurement device (70) for measuring the end play of a tapered roller bearing of a gear device supporting, via the tapered roller bearing, a large gear shaft (4) fitted with a gear, wherein the end play measurement device (70) is provided with a power generator (30) that is fixed to the large gear shaft (4) and generates power for moving the gear device back and forth along the axial direction, a position variation unit (60) that is interposed between the power generator (30) and the gear device and changes the position of the gear device in the axial direction using the power from the power generator (30), and a force multiplication mechanism (40) that multiplies the force of the power from the power generator (30) by receiving that power at a free end.
