An embodiment of the present invention provides a surgical instrument comprising: an end tool comprising a jaw provided with a first jaw and a second jaw formed to face the first jaw, a first jaw pulley which is coupled to the jaw and is formed to be rotatable about a first shaft, an opposite pulley which is formed to be rotatable about a shaft that is substantially the same as or parallel to the first shaft and to be spaced apart a certain distance from the first jaw pulley, and a staple driving assembly comprising at least one staple pulley which is at least partially formed between the first jaw pulley or the opposite pulley; a cartridge comprising a reciprocating assembly which is connected to the staple driving assembly and is linearly moved due to the staple pulley when the staple pulley rotatably moves, and an operating member which comes into contact with the reciprocating assembly and is moved in one direction by the reciprocating assembly when the reciprocating assembly moves in one direction; and a reverse wire which is connected to the operating member and is formed to pull the operating member in the direction toward the proximal portion of the jaw.
