Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2010/070741
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
An endless chain (25) for ballast removal comprises a plurality of link bases (45) which are so connected to each other as to be capable of swinging around swing axes (57) and also so connected to each other as to be capable of swinging around the other swing axes (61) so that the bases can extend along the curved portions (41) of support members, bits (47) and ballast scraping plates (49) for pushing and collapsing ballast supported on each of the link bases. A set of overlapped parts (69, 71) capable of overlapping with each other for closing the gap between the adjacent link bases are provided on these link bases. These overlapped parts can prevent the ballast from intruding between the both link bases.
