Abstract:
Of the V-surface (48) of a pulley (15), slippage tends to occur between the surface and a metal belt (19) in the portion (48a) to the inside of a prescribed position (P1) in the radial direction. But by making the shape of the generating line for said radially inward portion (48a) to be a straight line, the friction coefficient with the metal belt (19) can be kept high and the occurrence of slippage reliably prevented. Moreover, making the shape of the generating line for the portion (48b), of the V-surface (48) of the pulley (15), which is to the outside of the prescribed position (P1) in the radial direction, to be a curved line that curves in the direction that compensates for the misalignment (C) of the metal belt (19), causes the metal belt (19) to engage smoothly with the V-surface (48), allowing increased durability of the metal belt (19) and the pulley (15). Making the shape of the generating line of the V-surface (48) to be a curved line decreases the friction coefficient with the metal belt (19). But since the radially outward portion (48b) of the V-surface (48) is a portion where slippage of the metal belt (19) does not occur easily in the first place, there is no danger of slippage occurring even if the friction coefficient is decreased.
