Abstract:

A novel endoglucanase derived from Staphylotrichum coccosporum; polynucleotide coding for the endoglucanase; and cellulase preparations containing the endoglucanase. The above endoglucanase or cellulase preparations are useful in a detergent for cellulose-containing fibers intended to achieve color clarification, fuzz reduction, improvement of texture feeling and appearance, decrease of local change of color and stiffness, etc., and are also available in textile processing uses.
