Abstract:
This endoscope camera control unit includes: a variable power supply that is capable of generating voltage required for each of a plurality of types of endoscopes assumed to be connected to the camera control unit; an identification unit that identifies the required voltage for the endoscope connected to the camera control unit; a power supply control unit that controls the variable power supply to generate power with the required voltage according to the identification result from the identification unit; a switch which is provided on a power supply path that extends to a power supply terminal for outputting power from the variable power supply to the connected endoscope, and which is provided to be capable of switching between continuity and interruption of the power supply path; and a switch control unit that turns the switch off and interrupts the power supply path during an adjustment period for the variable power supply to generate power with the required voltage according to the identification result.
